At Career Confident, we prefer consultations in person; however, we offer Skype, email and telephone consulting arrangements enabling us to help clients throughout Australia.
Our Director, Helen Green, is a qualified careers practitioner and professional member of the Career Development Association of Australia. She enjoys writing about careers related topics. Publications where her work has featured include; mainstream press (Herald Sun Careers), the Victorian Independent Schools Association parent’s website, Mums and Co and the Australian Centre for Careers Education news journal.

A word on Vocational Testing
The Strong Interest Inventory® (CCP Asia Pacific Pty Ltd) is our primary vocational testing tool. Vocational testing can be a very beneficial self-exploration and career planning tool for many of our clients; however, it is not a compulsory part of our service. Every client’s circumstances are different and many of our clients do not need it. The suitability of vocational testing can be explored during your first consultation, along with other strategies and tools we can use to help you.
How many consultations are needed?
We have a flexible approach and do not lock clients into a specific number of sessions. Everyone’s needs are different, though in our experience, clients at various stages of their life/career benefit most from at least two-three career consultations with us.
Career Coaching
Prices below are indicative only and subject to change. This price includes the time we take to prepare for your appointment. Our prices remain competitive. Many of our clients can claim careers counselling as a self-education expense for taxation purposes (subject to meeting the ATO criteria)
Career Consultation standard rate $150*
– 60 minutes (typically includes resume and documentation review)
Careers Consultation concessional (full time students and concession card / health care card holders). $135
– 60 minutes (typically includes resume and documentation review)
Career Consultation & Vocational testing* $380
– 90 Minutes (includes detailed report). Concessional discount $340.
The Strong Interest Inventory ® administered by CCP Asia Pacific Pty Ltd, is regarded worldwide for its ability to link the interests and professional areas of a person to career, education and leisure options. It is user friendly and is not a test, rather an assessment of your interests (not your skills or aptitude). For over 85 years, it has been of the most respected and widely used career planning tools in the world. We use it to complement our coaching, helping clients develop a clearer understanding of themselves in order to make informed career, lifestyle and vocational choices. The Strong Profile and Interpretative Report is a 19 page detailed report produced after you have taken an online questionnaire. The report is provided to you and discussed in detail during your consultation. There are other Strong reports available including the Strong Interest Inventory Profile with High School Profile Sample Report.
Career Coaching and Additional Support Packages*
Three and five session consultation packages (with or without vocational testing) are available over a specified time period. They include options of unlimited email and phone support between appointments.
Packages start at $550.
Resume writing, cover letter preparation and related Services*
Pricing will vary according to your career stage and the work involved; however, we aim to keep our quality service affordable and provide options to suit your budget. A quality resume is an investment in your career and essential in a competitive job market.

About our Director
Our director, Helen Green is a careers writer whose work has featured in the media, and in careers publications. She has strong professional credentials which include over two decades of experience in senior education, research and career program management roles. Helen Green has postgraduate qualifications in Career Development and Education and Criminology, together with a Bachelor of Arts (Hons). Helen is certified to administer psychometric vocational testing. At Career Confident you can be truly confident that Helen will work hard on your behalf.
